Although from certain angles at a number of points it’s difficult to see the actual images to which Misrach is referring in this talk, a great number can be seen very clearly, and he is a concise, clear, generous spokesperson for his own art. It’s particularly interesting to observe the arc described by the progression and change in his work over the period he covers, which begins in the early 1970s. His willingness to reconstitute his work through changes in focus has oddly allowed him to explore so many angles and facets of a group of similar and pressingly important themes.
